Job Description:
Role Overview: The Director, Capture & Proposals is responsible for guiding the capture strategy to ensure a strong understanding of customer requirements and pain points, resulting in the development of strong win themes and differentiators; providing strategic guidance, and proposal writing support, as needed, to the Proposal Team in developing winning proposals; and overseeing and supporting the proposal development lifecycle.
This role will report directly to the Vice President, Growth Enablement.
Key Responsibilities:

Success in this role will be based on the deals captured (won), compliant and compelling proposals submitted, and the ability to increase the efficiency and efficacy of our proposal response process and overall capture process.

Take an active role in capture management, providing guidance to business development team members regarding capture strategy and execution. This includes ensuring the collection of key customer requirements, pain points, and decision-makers specific needs and ensuring Casepoint is best positioned before and after an RFx.

Lead proposal team, including creating annual goals to support organizational goals. Measure performance against established goals and performance objectives for each role, providing regular feedback throughout the year and as part of the annual performance review. Support team through their career path goals.

Align leadership to the Casepoint Core Values.

Review Capture Plans for impending RFXs and provide feedback to enhance proposal readiness and increase the probability of win (Pwin)

Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Casepoint technology to identify gaps and strategies to address gaps against customer requirements

Lead win theme development, as needed, with deal owners

Develop, implement, and manage processes and strategies in collaboration sales and marketing that result in an increased PWin and improved win rate

Drive proposal strategy, including developing strong win themes and clear value propositions, based on customer requirements and pain points as well as Casepoint strategic vision
-
Ensure Casepoint messaging and branding - our “voiceˮ - is clearly communicated through all proposal materials
-
Oversee full proposal lifecycle and ensure delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer-defined timeframes

Ensure effective resource management, including allocation, training, and support

Review solicitations and provide guidance to the proposal team for effective bid strategy
-
Take a hands-on approach to oversight and development (when needed) of critical proposal artifacts, such as the proposal schedule, compliance matrix, and necessary templates and outlines to assist in developing appropriate content and compliant responses and ensure the integrity of win strategy through submission

Own the development of Executive Summaries, where needed

Provide coaching to proposal and sales teams in persuasive writing and proposal best practices

Develop strong relationships with leaders of the various teams that support the proposal effort to foster positive collaboration

Own, manage, and maintain the Proposal Team drive
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for a Director, Capture & Proposals who meets the following requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
-
2+ years of capture management experience
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the creation of proposals, including 5 years of experience in the development of government proposals and 5 years of experience managing proposal teams
-
Knowledge of RFP lifecycle management and federal procurement regulations
-
Proven ability to successfully communicate company proposal objectives and key characteristics to management, in writing and oral presentations
-
Excellent people skills - able to work with teams of varying sizes, technical abilities, and levels of authority with both internal corporate staff and teammates
-
Proven ability to motivate teams
-
Thorough, detail-oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
-
Excellent multi-tasking abilities – able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
-
Completion of Shipleyʼs Proposal Management and Proposal Development course strongly preferred
-
Experience with proposal automation software preferred
-
Candidate located within an hour radius of Tysons Corner, VA
