Job Description:
The eDiscovery Analyst will service clients by providing structured and non-structured data analysis, custom scripting using various programming platforms, database creation, searching, and modification; and custom load file creation. In addition, the eDiscovery Analyst will provide data modeling and optimization, make recommendations related to performance and efficiency of data storage including more effective use of indexes or other DBMS specific features, assume responsibility for administration of existing enterprise databases, make recommendation for standards and best practices for SQL, and interact with and write complex SQL queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical processes for our Casepoint eDiscovery platform for data analysis, data ingestion, data processing, data export, and data manipulations
- Perform forensic data extraction using forensic applications such as Access Data FTK, Encase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, etc., and parse that information with internal parsing applications to sync in Casepoint eDiscovery platform
- Perform data disposition requests like archive and deletion based on client needs
- Convert, normalize, and migrate data from a variety of databases, converting text and image files to various formats.
- Perform technical production of data to either electronic format or hardcopy, including generating the actual production in the required production format
- Create master versions of external drives for required deliverables
- Responsible for following standard quality control procedures on technical tasks and finalize all deliverables to clients
- Script and database work in Microsoft Access, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and various proprietary systems
- Handle database support escalation and production database preventative maintenance as a subject matter expert
- Troubleshoot, resolve or escalate exceptions that occur while data processing, data ingestion, or any other eDiscovery requests
- Meet ad-hoc requests for our clients
- Validate data and manage systems utilizing SOP as required
- Communicate detailed job specifications with project leads and supervisor
- Follow standard operating procedures and training materials
- Communicate with project leads on estimates and deadlines for tasks
- Deliver a quality product on time, within SLA that meet or exceed the client requirements and expectations
- Perform ad-hoc data queries for reporting and data analysis needs
- Work closely with our other Analysts, Client Services team members, Product team members, and IT team members
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Computer science or information technology related degree with a focus on database administration or data analysis
- Minimum 2 years of experience in eDiscovery fields
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while handling multiple tasks through completion
- Desire/initiative to learn more advanced technical and design concepts
- Foster a teamwork environment
- Improve cross-application/work center knowledge
- US Citizenship (non-dual) required by government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- SQL Certification and/or 1+ year of database administration considered a strong plus
