Job Description:
Project Manager serves as a key leader within Casepoint’s client services and operations team. Responsible for successfully managing assigned client relationships through effective project management coordination and execution. Strong candidates must have the right combination of leadership, project management, and electronic discovery experience to successfully manage multiple projects serving law firm, corporate, and government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage project plans, risk management plans, communication plans as well as provide budget management for Casepoint projects or matters in conjunction with the manager and/or Client Success Manager
- Assert authority on the project level by making recommendations to the Client Success Manager and client, preparing precise documentation, and following through on all assignments
- Develop estimates and advise clients on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions, manage actual cost to resources during life cycle of the project and complete all invoicing procedures
- Monitor and control schedule, cost, and quality aspects of the project while delivering logistical support to the legal team as related to the technology portions of the project
- Develop and adhere to properly document projects including workflows, roles and task assignments, estimates, time tables, and process improvements
- Ensure standard procedures for projects are consistently applied ensuring service delivery
- Monitor and adjust procedures to effectively comply with Risk Management policies
- Act as the primary point of contact and the liaison for Casepoint technology and issues between legal team, technical staff, and service providers to ensure proper communication between the parties
- Facilitate and complete training sessions for internal and external clients regarding end user functionality within Casepoint tools, including becoming the assigned matter’s point of contact for training for the duration of the matter
- Develop data processing and production specifications for analysts to meet legal requirements or client specifications
- Provide ongoing status reports to the client at the project level on cost, scope, and schedule actuals
- Conduct project level and just-in-time after action reviews and plans to report and respond to client feedback at the project level
- Delegate appropriate workflow tasks to analysts, including data management, processing, production, and quality control
- Ensure exemplary client service and communication management to all internal and external clients; proactively promote client service throughout department and among teams; respond to peer requests with recognition that request serves a client need
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of eDiscovery and the litigation support industry
- Demonstrated success in management of multiple simultaneous projects
- Oral and written communication skills which provide a strong and confident leadership presence
- Excellent client relationship skills which include the ability to proactively manage client expectations, recognize client needs and adapt company capabilities to consistently meet client requirements
- A solid understanding of database design and management, data processing activities and legal document review requirements
- Demonstrated ability in each of the following areas: ensure effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through final production; development of project plans; balance overall client requirements; development of relationships; and ensure deadlines are consistently met
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 to 4 years consulting, litigation support, paralegal or attorney experience in a law firm, corporate legal department or eDiscovery service provider, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- US Citizenship (non-dual) required by government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree MBA, JD, MS a plus
- Project Management or Process Management Certification a plus
