The Vice President, Product serves as a key player within Casepoint’s Product Team and Executive Team. You will be responsible for developing a strong team of product managers and designers, defining and driving product strategy, executing product strategy and vision, and establishing and maintaining a strong product culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define inspiring vision for the future state of Casepoint that empowers our customers and partners to easily deploy, integrate, customize and extend our applications
  • Drive all aspects of Casepoint Product Management from vision, planning, execution, iteration and success that drive the business forward.
  • Develop and own product roadmap and ensure alignment with business strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Own and drive the Casepoint product innovation agenda, including owning the key differentiation points for Casepoint vs competitors.
  • Serve as the most knowledgeable senior team member about competitive software tools and offerings.
  • Establish a highly collaborative, data & customer-driven culture within the product development team.
  • Serve on the senior leadership team, collaborating with the heads of Marketing, Account Management, and Client Services to ensure we stay on track with company and software service health metrics.
  • Own cross-team information sharing efforts (particularly with Marketing and Client Services) to ensure:
    • insights about our own social media marketing and advertising efforts are feeding back into our product innovation efforts for Casepoint software
    • insights directly from our clients are feeding back into our product innovation efforts for Casepoint software
  • Communicate company strategy, product vision and complex technical matters to a variety of teams (product team, key stakeholders, leadership, etc.)
  • Enable the company to scale through increases in product quality, market agility, and speed of product delivery.
  • Execute on goals from concept to launch by driving results through effective monitoring, measuring and communicating progress across all teams.
  • Enable a proven process for product delivery best practices (road mapping, planning, research, etc.).
  • Minimize schedule risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively.
  • Provide input and advice on long term architecture and software design decisions.
  • Determine and provide product metrics & reporting.
  • Establish a culture of innovation, experimentation and metrics-based decision-making.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to collect feedback, prioritize needs and explain our short and long term product goals.
  • Partner with marketing to make launches an event and build a strong external presence influencing our customer community, industry experts, and key partners.
  • Hire and retain top Product talent.
  • Work closely with technology, operations, and senior leadership to ensure releases are of the highest quality and demonstrate progress against quality goals through clear metrics.

Requirements:

We are seeking a superior candidate for this unique role. As a result, we require the following background in candidates selected for this opportunity:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • An MBA is a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in product management for a SaaS firm
  • Project management or process management training a plus
  • Extensive expertise working with an Agile software development team as well as Scrum and Agile processes.
  • Excellent team building skills including a proven ability to identify and recruit potential talent, and then work actively and continuously with these resources to address their weaknesses and exploit their strengths
  • Demonstrated ability to define and drive product strategy
  • Proven strong skills in stakeholder management and internal evangelism, including the ability to inspire and motivate across the company to encourage and assure consistent execution of product strategy
  • An understanding of the importance of product culture and concrete plans for instilling product culture at Casepoint
  • Experience owning a company’s entire product roadmap. This will include long-term strategic thinking around products and short-term revenue through rapid response to feature requests for customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams to take product strategy, from product roadmap to go-to-market and through to execution.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management.
  • An understanding of eDiscovery and the litigation support industry
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
